Residency Training
Want to jump-start your dog’s training? Send your pup to boarding school!Our residency training program allows your dog the consistency and advantage of living with a professional trainer during the early stages of training, which are often the most difficult. Your dog receives dedicated training time based on our behavioral evaluation and your requests.
We work with you one-on-one at the end of the dog’s training to integrate your pup’s training with your lifestyle.
In addition to addressing behavior problems, we can also help you get off to a great start with your new puppy or newly adopted dog. Ask about our special puppy training package for puppies younger than 4 months.
For your dog:
- Individual attention — only one dog trained at a time;
- Your dog will live with ours and be treated as part of the family;
- Several training sessions per day;
- A behavior assessment and training in basic household manners;
- Skills taught include crate training, sit, down on a verbal cue and hand signal, wait at doorways and come when called;
- Daily walks in the woods, outings to the bike path, meadow, dog park or river.
For you:
- Phone call with detailed update on your dog’s training and preparation for bringing your trained dog home;
- A custom, written training plan for integrating your newly trained dog into your household;
- Private training session to teach you how to work with your trained dog to keep up on his or her training;
