In-Home Training
Dogs are never too old to learn! In-home training is ideal for new puppy introductions, obnoxious or unruly behaviors and addressing behavior problems such as aggression, barking, separation anxiety, boundary issues and cat-chasing. Contact us today to see how we can help! How does training work?
After an initial assessment, we visit your home and train the dog while you are at work or otherwise engaged. A weekly follow-up session seamlessly integrates you into the process to ensure lasting success long after training has concluded.
How long does it take?
A typical training package might be two weeks in length equaling 10 sessions total, but is customized to the needs of owner and dog. Yearly refreshers and extended programs are available at a discounted rate.
“Lefty is doing very well, especially with walking on the bike path. He is very manageable now… We owe you a big debt of gratitude for all the improvements.” – Ann and Lefty
What kinds of problems can training address?
Your dog’s behavior is as important to us as it is to you. We’ll talk with you about what kind of behavior you want from your “dream dog,” and we’ll make every effort to bridge that gap with your current dog! We can provide an excellent head start on controlling behavior problems such as jumping on guests, pulling on leash, barking at dogs or other animals, ignoring you, and many types of aggression issues.
We can also help integrate a new puppy or dog into a household, or teach your current dog several useful behaviors, such as walk on leash without pulling, come immediately when called, stay, go to your mat, crate training, greet visitors quietly at the door, boundary training, and more.
Is in-home training affordable?
Yes! Our rates are competitive with other training services in the area, and package discounts are available — the more we train, the more you save! Contact us for more information. Your dog is a part of your family. But without education, your relationship with your dog can become a hassle, or even a nightmare. A short-term investment in proper training will make the difference in an entire lifetime with your obedient, well-mannered dog.
In-person, phone and e-mail consultation is also available — contact us for details.
